Anat Baniel Method® of NeuroMovement®

The Anat Baniel Method of NeuroMovement is closely based on the work of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais. Anat Baniel was a student and then close associate of Dr. Feldenkrais. She worked with him for many years at his Institute in Tel Aviv and became a trainer for him in 1981. Over the years based on her extensive work in the Feldenkrais Method with both adults and children she developed the Anat Baniel Method of NeuroMovement.

NeuroMovement uses gentle innovative exercises and the nine essentials to create new neural pathways that allow both adults and children to learn to move more optimally and efficiently – increasing strength, flexibility, and vitality.

Anat Baniel Method (ABM) for Children

abm-photoABM is particularly effective for children with special needs such as cerebral palsy, ADD/ADHD, stroke and brain injury. Movement, gentle touch, and the nine essentials are used to create optimal conditions for learning new movement patterns.   This awakens your child’s brain and helps your child to become a more powerful learner.

Typically developing children

ABM is also highly effective for typically developing children.  ABM helps children learn to move more easily, improving their posture, coordination, and balance.
