My approach to physical therapy integrates traditional physical therapy with Feldenkrais® and NeuroMovement®. The body is a complex system in which the muscles, controlled by the brain and nervous system, work in synergy with one another to generate movement. We work together to help your brain learn new more optimal patterns of movement, thus we can work very gently. There is no need to stretch or push – rather with awareness, subtlety, and variation, we create changes in the brain – which create changes in how you move. Movement becomes more efficient, better organized, and more optimal. When you learn to move in this way you put less stress on your body and recover faster from injuries. Chronic aches and pains that are associated with faulty movement patterns and faulty alignment are improved.
